The Club/Association
About
The Club.
The Mission.
Established in 2008, the association has played a pivotal role in advancing wheelchair racing in Singapore while fostering the positive values of sport among persons with disabilities.
Over the years, its athletes have competed in local championships and proudly represented Singapore at regional and international competitions. These sporting platforms not only showcase athletic excellence but also empower individuals with disabilities to challenge boundaries, realise their full potential, and achieve personal growth.
Wheelchair racing remains the cornerstone of WRAS’s mission and identity. Through its programmes, WRAS promotes the well-being, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities, enabling them to lead active, fulfilling, and independent lives. The association provides both elite and recreational sporting opportunities for youths and adults with paraplegia, quadriplegia, tetraplegia, spinal cord injuries, lower-limb amputations, cerebral palsy, and polio, fostering participation at all levels of the sport.
Strength & Conditioning Training
Championing wheelchair racing as an effective therapeutic and developmental sport that builds physical resilience, mental fortitude, independence, mobility, confidence, and self-esteem among persons with disabilities.
Opportunity to Train, play & compete
Enabling persons with disabilities to realise their sporting potential through competitive training, competition, and recreational participation.
